Possible face to face with Joy Christian and Richard Gill

Richard Gill and Joy Christian are discussing having a public symposium at Leiden University concerning the quantum entanglement correlations that according to Joy can be explained classically. Over many years Richard has opposed to this view, as can be seen by comments by them at former posts on this blog and many places elsewhere where Bell’s theorem is discussed.

Now they have decided to meet in person, and have a debate moderated by Jay R. Yablon, who has also been involved earlier in these discussions.
The plan is to have the symposium in autumn this year, or otherwise next year.

  1. Unfortunately, though the symposium will probably go ahead, Joy Christian has declined to participate. In the meantime, Christian has at last got several papers published. Most recently he has prepared a new tutorial paper https://arxiv.org/abs/1911.11578 and I have posted some comments on it at https://pubpeer.com/publications/F52478BF146AA13EB36ABE6E94F60E

  2. I have also published a survey of the ideas used in Christian's most important papers: https://www.mdpi.com/1099-4300/22/1/61 , entitled "Does Geometric Algebra Provide a Loophole to Bell’s Theorem?". My answer is, of course, no. It's possible to leave comments on the web page of the article (published in the journal "Entropy", publishing house MDPI).

  3. PS I would like also to draw attention to the Google Group https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bell_quantum_foundations "Bell inequalities and quantum foundations". One has to be a member of the group in order to see the discussions and join in the discussions. Joining is just a matter of sending an email and agreeing to follow the standard rules of civilised internet behaviour. One can use a pseudonym. One does need a Google ID.

  4. Here's a link to a revision of my paper Comment on “Dr. Bertlmann’s Socks in a Quaternionic World of Ambidextral Reality” https://www.math.leidenuniv.nl/~gill/IEEE_Access_paper-rev2.pdf. It should also be on arXiv tomorrow morning https://arxiv.org/abs/2001.11338.

I report some results of further investigation into the GAViwer simulation, which Joy Christian says was programmed for him by Albert Jan.
